Frequently Asked Questions
Who can attend these events? |
- Any resident of Leeds Grenville with the exception of the City of Brockville who hold their own HHW event.
- The event is for “household” hazardous waste – waste from commercial or industrial sources is not accepted.
|
I am moving and can’t wait for the next HHW event – what do I do? |
- Do not throw your hazardous waste in the garbage. It can be potentially dangerous and harmful to the environment. Try to find a friend or relative who will take your HHW to one of our events. If this is not possible then take the time to call some local businesses or search the internet to determine which local businesses take back some of these waste classes. Some commercial dealers do in fact take back items such as used oil, old paint, light bulbs etc.
|
