Geographic Information Systems
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a system for handling and displaying data. Essentially it is the digital mapping of surface features and the information linked to those features.
The GIS team is responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of a Centralized GIS system which supports the County and the ten partner municipalities within our geographic boundaries.
Our GIS staff builds and maintains spatial datasets and applications, conducts GIS projects, and publishes maps to enhance the availability of information for the public and county and municipal business services.
Many of our products are available in the Maps and GIS page below.
