Landfill Liaison Committee
The Landfill Liaison Committee must consist of no less than 10 and no more than 15 members and is generally comprised of interested and knowledgeable members of the public. Membership includes four members from Edwardsburgh Cardinal, one member from each of the North-East, North-West, and South-West quadrants of the Counties, as well as one member each from Prescott and Brockville. Other members are appointed at large.
The establishment of the Landfill Liaison Committee is required under the Certificate of Approval for the currently undeveloped ED-19 regional waste disposal site. The purpose of the Committee is to review and make comment on any activities associated with the site and shall include a review of Operations and Monitoring reports, review of complaints, as well as the development and implementation of a plan for eventual end use and perpetual care at the site if brought into operation by the Counties.
The Landfill Liaison Committee does not have a regular meeting schedule established. Agendas and Minutes are available and meeting dates are included in the Council Calendar or by visiting our Agendas, Minutes and Videos page from April, 2019 onwards.
