Friendly reminder that the deer rifle hunting season is open from November 4 th to the 17 th . We are "asking" all motorized users to refrain from using the trails during this short 2-week period so the hunters can have an opportunity to enjoy their sport. We are also requesting the same courtesy from non-motorized trail users, especially horseback riders, mountain bikers and hikers. On October 8th Oxford-on-Rideau Public School hosted a 60th anniversary tribute cross country running meet in Limerick Forest. This event gave local elementary students from Oxford on Rideau , South Branch, KPS, Merickville Public and Centennial 67 a chance to participate, and race the Limerick trails. The cross country meet saw over 250 students run the trails racing to qualify for the UC cup in Brockville.
