Child and Youth Programs
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville supports a child care system that is affordable, accessible and accountable.
We support families, children and licensed child care programs by providing:
- Child care fee subsidy to eligible families,
- Wage enhancement to child care providers,
- Special needs resource funding to support the inclusion of all children in licensed child care.

Child Care Service Plan
The Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) designates the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville as the Early Years Services System Manager for the area. As such, we are responsible for:
- Planning for licensed child care and family support programs within Leeds and Grenville.
- Preparing a Service Plan which highlights the local needs, priorities and service delivery plan.
- Service planning needs community meetings and analysis of community data.
- The first Service Plan under this Act is due to the Ministry of Education in January, 2019 . The plan will be reviewed on an annual basis based on community trends and shifts in priorities.
