As we celebrate the season of giving, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville invites the community to help make the new G. Tackaberry and Family Home in Athens, Ontario, a place of comfort and care for its future residents.
The redevelopment project, located on the Maple View Landings property, is the largest capital construction initiative in our history. Construction of the three-story, six-wing building is now complete, and residents will begin moving in 2026.

ATHENS, ON – The Fundraising Team supporting the G. Tackaberry & Family Home is proud to announce that they have reached 82% of their $3 million fundraising goal, thanks to the generosity of community donors over recent months.
With $2.4 million raised to date, the Fundraising Committee for the new 192-bed home recognized 14 individuals and businesses for their collective contribution of $178,000 on April 15.

ATHENS, ON – You can tap your toes and toss a contribution to support the residents of The G. Tackaberry & Family Home on February 8th when the Shantyman performs a concert at the Joshua Bates Centre. The concert is a fundraiser and a minimum of $10 per person donation would be greatly appreciated.
