Half-load season in our region will come into effect on Monday March 2, 2026.

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has commissioned HDR Inc. to conduct a *Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA)* Study.

Temporary Road Closure for Culvert Replacement Location: County Road 3 (0.35 km south of County Road 33) Start Date: Monday November 3, 2025 End Date: Friday November 7, 2025 County Road 3 will be temporarily closed between County Road 33 and Red Horse Lake Road with no through access to replace a cross culvert beginning on Monday, November 3, 2025 to Friday, November 7, 2025.

As part of the ongoing multi-phase road rehabilitation of County Road 7, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Willis Kerr Contracting Ltd. 

Lane Width Restriction & Detour Advisory Location: Lyndhurst Bridge (County Road 33) Dates: Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to September 28, 2025 (4 weeks), excluding September 20. 

As a part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 22 (South of Heckston) between County Road 20 (Norton Road/Dillabaugh Road) and Latimer Road, a temporary road closure is required and will be implemented to accommodate several cross-culvert replacements.   The temporary road closure will be in place from May 26th until May 30th, 2025.

This year, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP, Inc.) will be rehabilitating approximately 2.

Half load restrictions have been lifted on all County roads. As Spring/Summer road work is set to begin, please remember to drive safe and slow down in road work areas.

This year, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Tackaberry Construction will be rehabilitating approximately 7.5 kilometres of County Road 7 between County Road 16 and Kitley Line 8.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville would like to inform the public that the next phase of the Westport Storm Sewer Outfall Project (PW-2024-23) will commence on April 28, 2025, and is expected to be completed before the end of May 2025.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville have contracted Willis Kerr Contracting Ltd. for the replacement of the Glen Smail box culvert on County Road 44.

Asphalt Paving Operations (base course / first lift), as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 13 between County Road 32 and the Kingston boundary, is planned to commence on Thursday, October 31, 2024 with an anticipated completion date of Friday, November 01, 2024. 

Asphalt Paving Operations, as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 42 between Highway 15 in Crosby and Newboro (4.6 km), is planned to commence on Friday, October 18, 2024 and will continue on Monday, October 21, 2024, with an anticipated completion date of Wedneday, October 23, 2024.

Asphalt Paving Operations, as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 30 between County Road 29 and County Road 42 (4.7 km), is planned to commence on Monday, September 30, 2024 and is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 3, 2024.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville have contracted Willis Kerr Contracting Ltd. for the replacement of the Glen Smail box culvert on County Road 44.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has contracted Clarence McDonald Excavation Ltd. to replace a concrete box culvert at civic address 3209 on County Road 2 in Johnstown, ON.

This year, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Tackaberry Construction will be rehabilitating approximately 2.5 kilometres of County Road 13 from County Road 32 to the Kingston boundary.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville have contracted G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Co.

Cold In-Place Asphalt Recycling construction activities, as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 42 between Highway 15 in Crosby and Newboro (4.6 km), is planned to commence on Monday, September 09, 2024.

County Road 22 at Hyndman Bridge - Nation River Road Updated Completion Date: September 20, 2024 As part of the ongoing rehabilitation of Hyndman Bridge, County Road 22 at this location will remain closed to traffic for a period not to exceed three (3) weeks, finishing no later than September 20, 2024.

Cold In-Place Asphalt Recycling construction activities, as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 30 between County Road 29 and County Road 42 (4.7 km), is planned to commence on Tuesday, September 03, 2024 and is expected to be completed by Thursday, September 05, 2024.

As a part of the ongoing rehabilitation of County Road 42 between Highway 15 in Crosby and Newboro, a temporary road closure is required and will be implemented to accommodate several cross-culvert replacements. 

This year, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Tackaberry Construction will be rehabilitating approximately 4.6 kilometres of County Road 42 from Highway 15 to Newboro.

County Road 5 will be closed at the CN Tracks from Monday June 17th at 7:00 a.m.

This year, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Tackaberry Construction will be rehabilitating 4.7 kilometres of County Road 30 from County Road 29 to County Road 42.

Location: County Road 15 - Approximately 5.1 km between North Augusta, ON and the Village of Merrickville-Wolford boundary.

Location: County Road 3 - Lansdowne, ON - Approximately 2.7 km between Lansdowne railway tracks and highway 401 overpass.

Rideau Ferry Bridge Work to Continue Starting March 15 From March 15 to July 2023, traffic will be reduced to one lane on the Rideau Ferry Bridge during its ongoing rehabilitation.

Second Rideau Ferry Bridge Closure is set for November 24, 2022
