County Road 2 Rehabilitation (CIREAM) – Kingston to Gananoque – July – October 2026

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, together with G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction, will be rehabilitating approximately 4.2 kilometres of County Road 2 between the municipal boundaries of Kingston and Gananoque, within the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.

Location: County Road 2 – Approximately 4.2 kilometres from Kingston and Gananoque, within the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.

Expected Start Date: July 2026

Expected End Date: October 2026

Details: Construction activities shall include, but are not limited to, single-lane closures; replacement of deteriorated corrugated steel pipe (CSP) and concrete cross culverts; replacement of select entranceway culverts; in-place partial-depth reclamation of the existing asphalt, with an expanded asphalt mixture; paving a surface lift of new hot mix asphalt; guiderail upgrades; and select ditch cleanout.

Motorists will experience traffic disruption and are strongly encouraged to avoid the area using alternate routes whenever possible.
