Provincial funding boost for Delta feed mill
The provincial government is chipping in for a new $13-million investment by Willows Agriservices to build a new feed mill. On Wednesday, local MPP Steve Clark announced the Delta-based farm input supplier would be creating a new feed mill to provide more products for livestock and poultry.

Notice of Work – Tree Removal – County Road 43 Road Widening Project
As part of the four-lane widening of County Road 43, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is undertaking tree removal from 200m west of County Road 44 to 220m east of Colonnade Drive in Kemptville. There are no anticipated road closures associated with this work.

The move is part of the expansion of its North American operations where $100 million will be invested by the company, and 200 new jobs will be created within the community.

Brockville's 3M mask plant expected to hire in new year
As demand for N95 respirators grows, officials at 3M Canada are expecting to hire more people at the company’s Brockville mask plant in the new year. “I feel very confident about producing respirators in Canada and meeting the needs of Canadians,” Penny Wise, 3M Canada’s president and managing director, said in an interview earlier this week.

A private school in Merrickville now has some significant bragging rights. Earlier this month, the Merrick Preparatory School was recognized as the best in the world through the Secondary Learning and International Impact Award.

River Route Public Transit Service
Ride the River Route Starting August 30th, 2021, the River Route will use a City of Brockville bus (thanks to their generous in-kind donation) starting in Brockville, to take commuters to popular workplaces in Prescott, Augusta and Edwardsburgh Cardinal in a 2-hour loop, 6 times per weekday from 5:30am – 5:30pm. Stops near Invista, Giant Tiger Distribution Centre and Ingredion Canada are strategically located to serve large employment areas, although residents will also be able to take advantage of the service for shopping or errands with additional stops at Canada Post in Maitland; Prescott’s Independent Grocer and Canadian Tire; as well as the Village Square Mall in Cardinal.

Six triplex apartment buildings will be built in Gananoque next year, thanks to an international competition that uses robots and automation.
