Getting shovels in the ground is the focus of Leeds and Grenville’s upcoming Affordable Housing Summit, being held on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Rideau Ferry Bridge Work to Continue Starting March 15 From March 15 to July 2023, traffic will be reduced to one lane on the Rideau Ferry Bridge during its ongoing rehabilitation. 

Counties Council Approves 2023 Budget At the Special Meeting held on March 8, 2023, the Council of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville approved the 2023 Budget with a 6.87 percent tax rate increase over 2022, which results in a levy of approximately $46.

Tender Awarded for Athens Long-Term Care Facility The Maple View Lodge Long-Term Care Home capital redevelopment tender has been awarded to McDonald Brothers Construction. 

The County Road 43 four-lane widening project to improve road safety, active transportation and spark regional economic growth is moving forward this year. 

Officials unveiled plans today for the Kemptville Court House Apartments, a 10-unit project to expand affordable housing options in the Municipality of North Grenville.

An eight-unit residence for people in need of housing, mental health and addictions support was announced today along with new provincial funding. 

Maple View Lodge’s major redevelopment plan revealed today includes details of the new building’s location, outdoor focal points, serene gardens and community gathering spaces. “This is a great project for the residents of the United Counties and for our businesses, especially those in the construction and medical supply sectors,” Warden Haley said.

The Community Paramedicine Program has a new home at the North Leeds Paramedic Station. In 2021, the LGPS Community Paramedic Program enrolled 777 clients.

A 15-bed shelter and programming for youth at risk of being homeless will receive additional support from a new provincial funding program.
