Drinking Water Quality Management System

The Corporation of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville (the Counties) owns, maintains, and operates the Miller Drive (Miller Manor) and Bennett Street (The Maples) Drinking Water Systems. The Counties is committed to the continuous supply of safe drinking water to all its water users. To fulfill this commitment, every aspect of the water operations is guided by four overarching principles: quality, sustainability, communication and continual improvement.

Quality

Implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System and being in compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations. The Counties water is safely treated and regularly tested according to government legislation and regulations for the consistent delivery of safe, quality drinking water.

Sustainability

The Counties will maintain infrastructure and operations in an environmentally responsible fashion, at a reasonable cost, without sacrificing performance.

Communication

The Counties will communicate openly with the public concerning matters of drinking water quality.

Striving always to improve the Drinking Water Quality Management System.

Bennett Street Drinking Water System (The Maples)

The Maples apartments were constructed in approximately 1975 and contain 15 residential units, a common laundry room, public bathroom, and a common room within the 2-storey apartment building. The Drinking Water System is not an operational subsystem and is not connected to one or more drinking water systems. This system draws raw water from a single drilled production well located within the property and utilizes a "Point of Entry Treatment Unit".

 

Miller Drive Drinking Water System (Miller Manor)

The Miller Manor apartments were constructed in approximately 1978. The well supplies drinking water to a 17 unit apartment The drinking water system is not an operational subsystem and is not connected to one or more drinking water systems. This drinking water system draws raw water from a single drilled production well located within the property and utilizes a "Point of Entry Treatment Unit".
