Notice of Work – Tree Removal – County Road 43 Road Widening Project
As part of the four-lane widening of County Road 43, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is undertaking tree removal from 200m west of County Road 44 to 220m east of Colonnade Drive in Kemptville. There are no anticipated road closures associated with this work.

County Road 43 - Notice of Commencement of Detail Design

2020 Roadside Spraying
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will commence roadside and guide rail herbicide spraying June 1, 2020 (weather permitting). Please visit our Roadside Spraying page for more information on: roadsides/guide rails to be sprayed; information on how to post proper signage should, as a property owner, you would prefer to not have the unmaintained ditch area in front of your property sprayed along with additional details of the program.

Fire Departments Lifting Burn Ban
Be advised effective Friday May 8th, 2020 at 8:00am, the Total Open-Air Burn Ban has been LIFTED by ALL municipalities within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, including the separated municipalities of Brockville, Gananoque and Prescott. The Ontario Fire Code states thatALL Open-Air Burning must be approved by the Chief Fire Official of your municipality, therefore residents are reminded to follow their municipalities Open Burning Regulations.

COVID-19 Information on Service Interruptions and Business Impact within our region

Public Meeting - Annexation of Lands in Elizabethtown-Kitley to Brockville
The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley, City of Brockville and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville (the affected municipalities) have drafted an agreement for the transfer of land (the annexed lands), located within the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley and United Counties of Leeds and Grenville to the City of Brockville by way of a boundary adjustment proposal pursuant to sections 172 and 173 of the Municipal Act, 2001, Chapter 25. Seasonal Load Restrictions (Half Loads) for 2018
Seasonal Load Restrictions During the spring thaw period, some roads within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville cannot withstand heavy loads. The Counties load restriction is to reduce the allowable individual axle load from 10 tonnes to 5 tonnes.
