Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service is a vital part of your community’s healthcare system, delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency and non-emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Call Volume: Our dedicated teams respond to over 20,000 calls for service each year, ensuring timely, compassionate care when it matters most.
Coverage Area: We proudly serve a diverse coverage area of over 3,380 square kilometres, including urban centres, rural communities, and remote locations.
Municipalities: Provides care for the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville area and the separated municipalities of Brockville, Prescott, and Gananoque.
Governance: A division within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville that reports to Counties Council, as well as the Joint Services Committee (comprised of representatives from Counties Council, Brockville, Prescott, and Gananoque).

Dispatching: Dedicated to providing services that allow the closest and most appropriate ambulance to be dispatched, regardless of location or jurisdiction.
Quality: Committed to meeting or exceeding provincial response time standards, continuous quality improvement, training, and performance monitoring to ensure we maintain the highest standards of care.
Collaboration: Works collaboratively with other municipal, provincial, and international agencies, as required, to respond to requests for assistance.

Stations and Fleet

Stations and Fleet

Paramedic Services are strategically deployed to maintain strong system readiness and provide effective emergency coverage.

Stations: Seven permanent stations located throughout Leeds and Grenville, with six of those stations staffed 24 hours a day.
Station Locations: Brockville South, Brockville North, Johnstown, Kemptville, Elgin, Gananoque, and Frankville.
Daytime Coverage: During peak times, there are eleven vehicles staffed within those stations, with an additional four paramedic first response units.
Nighttime Coverage: Overnight, there are six fully staffed paramedic units in the community.
Total Fleet: We operate a fleet of 17 frontline ambulances, supported by 4 paramedic response units, 6 Community Paramedic program units, as well as Supervisory and operational support specialty vehicles.

Our Workforce and Clinical Care

Our highly skilled workforce delivers advanced clinical care under the guidance of a robust medical oversight framework.

Staffing: Includes 135 front-line Paramedics, supported by Superintendents, Logistics, Administrative, and the Senior Leadership Team.
Care Levels: Our service provides a full spectrum of care, including Primary Care and Advanced Care Paramedic services.
Interventions: Offers access to life-saving interventions, advanced airway management, cardiac care, and critical patient support.

Community Paramedic Program

Beyond emergency response, our Community Paramedic Program plays a key role in supporting our most vulnerable populations.

Services: Through scheduled home visits, wellness checks, and chronic disease monitoring, community paramedics help improve overall patient outcomes.
Hospital Impact: Collaboration with healthcare partners helps reduce unnecessary hospital visits.
