Rideau Lakes mapmaker wins Bill Thake award
A heritage mapmaker from Rideau Lakes has charted a distinguished course and he’s been named the winner of the Bill Thake Memorial Award for 2018.
Doug Bond was revealed as the winner of the economic development leadership award Friday during the 10th annual Leeds-Grenville Economic Development Summit in Kemptville.
The retired teacher has been a decades-long trail promoter and designer of the local Heritage Map, known simply to locals as “The Map.” Read the full story.
