Maple View Lodge expansion approved
The provincial government has approved an expansion of the counties-owned Maple View Lodge that will triple the number of long-term-care beds at the home near Athens.
The addition of 132 beds to the 60-bed facility was announced by Health Minister Christine Elliott on Friday.
Leeds and Grenville Warden Pat Sayeau said the announcement is good news for the counties, which have been lobbying for an expansion of the long-term-care facility for more than four years. Read the full story.
