Locals get $1.4M boost for virtual reality tech
“Think of it like virtual job sampling.”
That’s how Harrison Olajos, chief executive officer of tech firm UP360 Inc., described a new, locally-developed virtual-reality project that is getting a $1.4-million funding boost from the Ontario government.
Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark was at the Employment and Education Centre (EEC) office Tuesday morning to announce the government is contributing $1,424,031 to help the EEC develop virtual reality (VR) software, creating “virtual career exploration modules.” Read the full story.
