Touch-A-Truck Event Returns to Brockville in 2026

BROCKVILLE, ON – The Children’s Services Department of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, in partnership with St. Lawrence College and the United Way of Leeds and Grenville, is excited to announce the return of the annual Touch-A-Truck event and community BBQ.

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Lawrence College, located at 2288 Parkedale Avenue in Brockville.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are invited to bring their children and grandchildren for a hands-on experience exploring a variety of vehicles and equipment. Attendees will have the opportunity to get up close to vehicles from emergency services, construction, transportation, and other community organizations while learning about the important roles they play in our region.

Parking will be available at St. Lawrence College, with overflow parking provided at the Brockville Memorial Centre (100 Magedoma Boulevard). Both the Memorial Centre and St. Lawrence College are accessible via Brockville Transit’s Blue Route.

This year’s event is made possible through the generous support of our community partners, including: St. Lawrence College, the City of Brockville, United Way of Leeds and Grenville, Brockville Police Service, Brockville Fire Department, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Amrize Canada, Canada Border Services Agency, Hydro One, HR Racing, Ministry of Transportation, Giant Tiger, South East Public Health, KidsInclusive, Leeds and Grenville OSPCA, Ontario Correctional Services, Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario, Language Express, Brockville Tourism, Little Seat Secrets, Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville, and Leeds and Grenville Interval House.

A special thank you is extended to the United Way of Leeds and Grenville for sponsoring the community BBQ and providing volunteers who help make this event a fun and welcoming experience for all.

To support children with sensory sensitivities, a limited number of noise-cancelling headphones will be available to borrow and can be signed out at the event entrance tent. Families are encouraged to bring their own headphones where possible.
