Announcement by Provincial Government - Municipal Land Ambulance Services are to be restructured.

All United Counties of Leeds and Grenville offices will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22.  Offices reopen for business on Tuesday, April 23.

The provincial government has approved an expansion of the counties-owned Maple View Lodge that will triple the number of long-term-care beds at the home near Athens. The addition of 132 beds to the 60-bed facility was announced by Health Minister Christine Elliott on Friday.

As its majority owner was being honoured by the local business community Thursday, workers and management at Canarm Ltd. were still celebrating another year among Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
