The highlights of the Special Council Meeting held on May 14, 2020 are listed below: Leeds Grenville Warden thanks frontline and essential workers; Report from the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit; Maple View Lodge long-term care facility's pandemic plan activated; No Waiting List at Emergency Child Care Centres; Economic Development Department assists businesses preparing to re-open; and Emergency Declaration.

All offices of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville will be closed on Monday, May 18.  Regular office hours resume on May 19.

Be advised effective Friday May 8th, 2020 at 8:00am, the Total Open-Air Burn Ban has been LIFTED by ALL municipalities within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, including the separated municipalities of Brockville, Gananoque and Prescott. The Ontario Fire Code states thatALL Open-Air Burning must be approved by the Chief Fire Official of your municipality, therefore residents are reminded to follow their municipalities Open Burning Regulations.

Please note half loads will be lifted on Friday, May 1, 2020.

The highlights of the Special Council meeting held on Thursday, April 16th are: Counties COVID-19 Pandemic Service and Programming Updates for Maple View Lodge, Emergency Child Care Centres, Social Services Emergency Relief Fund, Counties Paramedic Service, Economid Development, and Emergency Declaration; Counties reporting a Surplus from the 2019 Budget; and Public Works Projects to Begin as Scheduled.
