The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has retained AECOM Canada Ltd. to complete the detailed design for the four-lane widening of County Road 43 from 200m west of County Road 44 to 220m east of Colonnade Drive, in Kemptville, Ontario.
The provincial government is investing $680 million more to expand broadband across Ontario, bringing smiles to Eastern Ontario municipal officials who have been lobbying for improvements to rural internet. In making the announcement Wednesday, Premier Doug Ford said the money, offered over six years, will top up the earlier-announced $315-million fund for broadband and internet improvements, bringing the province’s total investment to close to $1 billion.
