Forestry


The Forestry Department is primarily responsible for the management of Limerick Forest, a County-owned community forest. Located throughout the Counties, Limerick Forest is just under 5800 ha.

The abundant values found in Limerick provides the area with a high level of biodiversity as well as quality recreational opportunities, a foundation for education and through utilization of the conifer plantations, an economic base which provides revenue to offset management costs.
