Testimonials
After moving my mother to Maple View Lodge - MVL, in May, 2017, I would ask my mother of 96 yrs old multiple times on different occasions of how she was enjoying MVL, in comparison to her previous Private Retirement home where she lived for two years. I hoped that she would say only good things in regards to MVL, to assure me that I had made the good decision of choosing MVL on her behalf. Surprisingly her reply was "why did I not move into MVL sooner". I was relieved that she was happily content at MVL, as I believe many families have a slight feeling of guilt of not having the ability to care for their parents at home.
The interior and exterior of MVL is kept immaculate. It is amazing that the renovations/additions of 2004 at Maple View Lodge, still to this day look as if they were completed yesterday. The MVL team coordinated an amazing collaboration with their chosen Architect which in turn created a unique design using warm finishes of blonde wood veneers giving a warm feeling throughout. The main lounge in each wing at Maple View Lodge's showcasing the grand cathedral ceiling along with the exposed wooden beams, and large gas fireplace can offer a great environment to get lost in thought as one can feel as if they are in a Lounge at a Country Resort.
I can "attest" from observations during my many visits to MVL that the entire team of caregivers maintains a positive respect towards the resident's individual care and hygiene regardless of their mental and or physical capabilities.
From the initial tour of MVL to the move in process the entire MVL team (Caregivers, Housekeeping, Kitchen staff, Nursing, Reception Administration and Management) took the time to make my mother feel comfortable and welcome AND they continue to this day having my full confidence of caring for my mother.
Every time I depart MVL from a visit with my mother I give emotional thanks that Maple View Lodge exists.

The Winter of My Life
I have come to Maple View Lodge in Athens, after being selected early in November from a list of 10.
My home and most everything I own is being disposed of. My hesitation remained until I was in the place I will forever call home.
After being here only a few hours, my daughter asked if I liked it here. I told her of the love I already feel, of the glorious sunshine that streams in every window that can be found in every window that can be found, in every nook and cranny. I see it on faces.
I am so grateful to give back to everyone in words and deed. Life is good here and by the grace of God, I feel I am truly blessed and where I belong. I am making new friends and already new memories.
Do not hesitate to take this new season with hope.

My sister has been cared for by staff at Maple View Lodge for several years. As a result of her many physical disabilities she is dependent on the staff for her needs.
Over these years we have found her care to be provided at the highest level by the entire staff; compassionate, patient, cheerful, encouraging and at all time professional.
The result of this is obvious when you walk into her room and see her busy with various arts and crafts and a welcoming smile.

My mother has now been in Maple View Lodge for twelve years. The friendly and professional care she receives from the staff has made it a very pleasant place for her to live. The staff gear the care to the individual needs of the resident: be it meals, activities, or general mental or physical care. We, the family, have never had a complaint and agree that there is no better place for our mother to be than at Maple View Lodge in her final years.
