RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization
Pre-Designate
Best Practice Spotlight Organization
We are delighted to announce that Maple View Lodge has been selected through a request for proposal to implement the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) Best Practice Guidelines over the next three years. We are the first Long-Term Care Home in the Southeast LHIN to achieve pre-designation status as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO).
The BPSO initiative was launched in 2003 and has spread from Ontario, across Canada and to other countries around the world. Our Maple View Lodge team strives to be a leader in delivery of care and services to our residents and their families. The partnership offered through RNAO will strengthen our capacity for professional growth and continuous improvements that benefit our residents.
The BPSO program supports the implementation of Best Practice Guideline’s (BPG’s) Both clinical and organizationally. The overall goal of this internationally renowned program is to optimize the provision of care, and improve resident and organizational outcomes through the use of RNAO Best Practice Guidelines. The implementation of BPG’s promotes a culture of evidence informed decision-making, evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement. The decision to become a Spotlight Organization stems from our commitment to quality, evidence-based care and the goal to become a Center of Excellence.
We celebrate this three (3) year journey in pursuit of full BPSO designation following our official launch in May 2019. Our goal is to flourish, motivate and inspire team work and positivity, to have everyone feel like a champion and to become a Home of Excellence, an Employer of Choice and a Leader of Evidence-Based Best Practices in Southeastern Ontario.
