What is the goal of the fundraising campaign? |
The goal has been set at $3M. |
How long will the campaign run? |
Our hope is that this goal can be reached within a 2-year timeframe. |
When will the Project be completed? |
The target date for completion of the G. Tackaberry and Family Long-Term Care Home is Spring of 2025, with a resident move-in date of Summer 2025. |
What will happen with the current Maple View facility? |
Maple View Lodge is currently under review for repurpose. It will remain on the site but will be utilized in alternate ways, to be determined. |
Who are the members of the Fundraising Committee? |

How will the $3M be allocated? |
The $3,000,000 will assist in adding quality of life enhancements to the development. These are items that are not covered by construction and operational budgets and will enhance the facility for residents and staff. |
How do I donate? |
There are many ways in which to donate: online via e-transfer, cheque, or credit card or simply contact our Fundraising Coordinator, Lesley Todd by email or at 613-340-6038. |
How will my contribution be recognized? |
There are various ways that we will be recognizing the generous gifts of our donors. One way will be on a large Maple Tree of Recognition that will be displayed in the entrance of the new building where different colored leaves on the tree will represent levels of giving. Larger donations can be given naming rights if the donor chooses – to have a dining area, sunroom, resident room or specific area of the building named after the family or company. |
Is my donation tax deductible? |
Yes. All donations of $25 and more are eligible for a tax receipt. |
Do I have to give all of my donation at once or can I donate monthly or over several years? |
It is up to you how you would like your contributions made. Some donors may like to offer an annual gift over several years where others may choose to contribute on a monthly basis. Arrangements can be made to accommodate type of contribution being made. |
What if I volunteer for a service club and we would like to host an event for the project? |
We encourage groups like service clubs to host events whereby proceeds are donated to the project. Please follow the link below to complete our form and submit it to the Fundraising Committee. Our fundraising team is happy to attend the event and talk about the project and how the money will be allocated. |
