Council Highlights - January 22, 2026

Warden Corinna Smith-Gatcke extended Council’s heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of former Warden John L. Dancy. Flags at the Counties administration building remain at half‑mast in his honour.

General:

· Council adopted meeting minutes from December 18, 2025, and the Special Meeting of January 12, 2026.

· Council approved the 2024 Consolidated Financial Statements.

· Council accepted the Joint Tender with Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry for the award of Pittson Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Project to Willis Kerr Contracting Limited.

· Council received the release of correspondence with the Cooperative Care Centre regarding funding agreements.

· Council approved the recommendation to pursue mixed-income housing model pilot project.

By-laws:

· Council passed By-law No. 26-03 to Receive the Interest Arbitration Award regarding Ontario Nurses' Association Agreement.

· Council passed By-law No. 26-04 to Receive the Interest Arbitration Award regarding CUPE and Its Local 4440.

· Council passed By-law No. 26-05 to Adopt Human Resources Policies.

· Council passed By-law No. 26-06 to Adopt Amendment No. 5 to the Official Plan for the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville.
