Resident Care

Maple View Lodge is comprised of 2 Private rooms, 20 Basics Suites and 38 Semi Private rooms. Each room has been well designed to accommodate our residents needs and have wonderful views allowing for the optimal light.

In keeping with our commitment to resident specific care, an individual care plan is developed for each resident within 7 days of admission with input from the resident, family members, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. The plan of care is modified as a resident's condition and care requirements change.

The care plan is carried out by a team of Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides/Personal Support Workers who provide 24/7 nursing and personal care and integrate a holistic approach to care and support. To augment the resident's care plan weekly services also incorporated include Laboratory Services, Physiotherapist services and Dental Hygienist assessments.

Post admission conferences and annual conferences are conducted between families and the members of the multidisciplinary team. Notification of dates and times are sent by letter to either the resident or the resident representative for personal care.

All residents are required to be under the care of a Medical Physician upon admission to the facility. Maple View Lodge retains the services of a qualified Medical Director. The Medical Director or designate attends the home weekly visiting each resident to ensure continuity and quality of medical care for the residents and provides for 24/7 coverage in accordance with the standards as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the Canadian Medical Association.

You may continue to use the services of your own physician if you so desire and your physician agrees to sign a contract with Maple View Lodge which outlines the services and 24 hour availability expected from attending physicians. If a resident's own physician does not wish to provide services upon admission, then the medical care and services are provided by the facility's Medical Director.
