Child Care Fee Subsidy Calculator

Effective January 1, 2007, income testing was introduced to determine child care fee subsidy eligibility in the Province of Ontario; assets and expenses are no longer considered. To apply for subsidy, you must file an income tax return as the information shown on Line 236 on your most recent Notice of Assessment/Reassessment, and/or your Universal Child Care Benefit statement (if applicable) will be used to calculate the amount you will have to pay for Child Care. If you are a recent immigrant to Canada, you can still apply but you will need to provide this information when you file your first tax return.
