Elizabethtown-Kitley is home to many annual festivals and events that celebrate both the community and its heritage. Much history is represented within the township, including areas such as Butternut Bay overlooking the St Lawrence River, Addison, Toledo, Tincap and Greenbush. Attractions include Bellamy Park and Campground, the Gibbons Family Farm Maple Sugar House and Museum, the Lyn Heritage Museum, and the Lyn Pit Conservation and Mac Johnson Wildlife Areas.
Elizabethtown-Kitley boasts a municipally-run business park and building sites are available. The community has a unique blend of businesses and industries, including Troy Manufacturing, Lafarge Canada Inc., Pricedex Software, Hendrix Hotel and Restaurant Equipment, Custom Decor Carpet One, Built Rite Utility Bodies and Supplies and Thousand Islands Concrete Ltd. to name a few. One of its larger businesses is Burnbrae Farms, a major producer of eggs and egg products. It has proven itself to be a leader in Canadian agri-business through its award-winning product innovation. Burnbrae has operations in both the township and the City of Brockville.
