Leeds Grenville offers world-renowned attractions of the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands region, the historic Rideau Heritage Route Canal System, the Canadian Shield and the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. The Rideau Canal and Frontenac Arch are both UNESCO sites. The1000 Islands and the St. Lawrence Seaway have gained international acclaim because of the natural beauty, scenic cruises with views of island castles, scuba diving and its historic relevance to the War of 1812.

This is an area that has it all when it comes to tourist attractions, scenic waterways and lakes, countless festivals and attractions and a rich history. Leeds Grenville offers one of the most diverse areas in all of Eastern Ontario and investing here will bring a good return.

Leeds Grenville was settled in the late 1700s by British Loyalists leaving the United States after the American Revolution. Throughout the Counties, one can find evidence of a vibrant history and culture and learn more about the 200 years of history at some of the area's museums.

An upcoming major tourism development is the Maritime Discovery Centre of the 1000 Islands (, renamed Aquatarium, is slated to open on Brockville's waterfront in late 2015.  This is an $18-million world-class interpretive centre. The centre is part of a larger development called Tall Ships Landing. This consists of hotel, retail shops, a restaurant and condominiums.
