Physician Recruitment

The County established a medical student bursary program in 2009. However, funds haven't been allocated at this time and the program is currently on hold.

The purpose of the program is to provide financial support directly to medical students who agree to practice medicine in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville for a period of at least five years from the date of full membership in the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

This will cover approximately 75 per cent of the estimated cost of a year of schooling. The program will be administered by the Leeds and Grenville CAO (e-mail) and the Economic Development Manager (e-mail).

Getting a new doctor

After agreeing to the terms of use, you can search by city, street or postal code to find physicians accepting patients in your area.
