Joint Services Committee

The Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville consists of all 10 members of Counties Council, five members from the City of Brockville represented by the Mayor, and one council member each from the towns of Gananoque and Prescott.

The Joint Services Committee is responsible for service levels and budget related to social services, social housing, land ambulance, and provincial offences administration.

The Joint Services Committee usually meets at 9:00 a.m. on the first Wednesday during the first full week of each month in the Council Chambers, 25 Central Avenue West, Brockville, Ontario.  A second meeting may be held on the third Wednesday of the third full week of a month if business warrants.

Community and Social Services

Staff from the Human Services Division make recommendations to the Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville on issues related to service levels and budget for Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Child Care and Social Housing.

Land Ambulance

Staff from the Paramedic Service Division make recommendations to the Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville on land ambulance issues.

Provincial Offences Act

Staff from the Corporate Services Division make recommendations to the Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville on Provincial Offences Act / Administrative and Court issues.

Waste Management

Staff from the Public Works Division make recommendations to the Joint Services Committee of Leeds and Grenville on joint waste management initiatives.
